Child Development Center

The CDC strives to provide a safe and nurturing environment while promoting the physical, emotional and intellectual development of young children. Care offered includes developmental and educational care for older infants, toddlers and preschool children ranging in age from 6 months to 5 years.

Our programs provide a comprehensive training program that serves as a foundation to promote the intellectual, social, emotional and physical development of children. Training and Curriculum Specialists frequent classrooms to observe, mentor and provide support to staff to ensure they meet high standards of quality care. Learning is promoted through hands-on opportunities and active play.

Eligibility is contingent on the status of the sponsor. Eligible patrons include active-duty military personnel, DOD civilian employees paid from either appropriated funds or non-appropriated funds, Reserve Component military personnel on active duty or inactive duty training status, combat-related wounded warriors, surviving spouses of military members who died from a combat-related incident and eligible employees of DOD contractors.

If immediate placement is not possible, parents who have requested care via may be eligible to participate in one of the child care fee assistance programs available through Child Care Aware of America. These programs authorize subsidy amounts based on total family income for eligible families and supplies monthly payments directly to the prospective child care provider.
